Help and Setup

Help

FocusSphere helps you run focused sessions with on-device history, visual themes, and optional distraction control.

Getting started

  1. Open the app and complete the quick setup permissions.
  2. Choose a session length from the preset buttons or minute picker.
  3. Select either Light Zen or Deep Zen.
  4. Pick a theme and start the session.

Core screens

Timer

Choose duration, mode, and theme before starting a session.

Stats

Review session history, streaks, and progress stored on your device.

Settings

Change theme, haptics, export data, and review legal information.

Focus modes

  • Light Zen: A gentler focus mode for immersive focus sessions with themes and optional ambient audio.
  • Deep Zen: A stronger focus mode that can use Android Do Not Disturb to reduce interruptions more aggressively.

Permissions

  • Post notifications: Needed to show session status and completion alerts.
  • Do Not Disturb access: Lets the app silence interruptions when you choose Deep Zen.
If you change a permission in Android settings later, reopen FocusSphere and refresh the setup step if needed.

Exporting your data

You can export your session history as CSV or JSON from Settings. Exported files are written only when you choose to create them.

Music credits

FocusSphere currently uses a mix of Pixabay and Chosic ambient tracks.

  • Pixabay tracks generally do not require attribution under the Pixabay Content License.
  • Chosic tracks used in this app are credited publicly and may require direct artist confirmation for the safest app/software use.
